Mobile RPG games have become extremely popular on the Android platform. Many of the established RPG developers have moved over to the Android operating system in an attempt to reach a much larger audience. This is a good thing because it means that you are getting quality entertainment at a low price. The question is, what are the best mobile RPG games?
Best Mobile RPG Games
In order to answer this question we need to take a closer look at the different types of RPG games available on the market. The best mobile RPG games are those which maintain a strong storyline and use deep gameplay to keep the player engaged. The two most popular types of RPG games that are available for download on the android device are the turn-based or PvP games like Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story: The Sinners of Loathing and the classic point-and-click RPGs like Legend of Zelda and Baldur’s Gate. Let’s take a closer look at each of these.
Final Fantasy Tactics
The world of Final Fantasy Tactics is a world where magic, creatures and amazing abilities are the norm. You play the role of a tactician and travel throughout this fantastic world battling strange creatures and mastering powerful abilities in order to win battles. Your party consists of a variety of characters including Tidus, inoa, Luke, Yuna and Eidos. The great thing about Final Fantasy Tactics is that it maintains a great storyline with amazing visuals and interesting characters but it is not too linear and there is a lot of room for your imagination.
The graphics in Final Fantasy Tactics are really quite impressive and the game uses an old school style of turn-based RPGs. Unlike many modern RPGs, the game deals a lot with party customization and character development. The story is also classic and can be enjoyed by anyone who enjoys classic RPGs. You could also liken Final Fantasy Tactics to Zelda as it is set in a world like Zelda’s world and also features a Zelda-like each game.
One of the best mobile RPGs I played this week was Brave Frontier: The Elements Collection. It is a turn-based tactical role-playing game where you’ll have to build an army from basic units and then go on to battle bosses on the way. I really like the simplicity of the gameplay. It’s not over-the-top or complicated and that’s what I appreciate the most about it. The game has great graphics and the cost free on Google Play makes it even better.
In third place is Dragon Ball Z: Zenith. This is actually the second release in the long awaited Dragon Ball Z series and comes fully with the collector’s edition. In fact, it’s pretty easy to see why this one is in the top position. The game play is pretty good and the audio and visuals are above average. If you like your classic old school style of RPGs, then this is definitely worth a try.
The only Android rpg games I’m going to mention this week are Dragonball Z: Budokai and Dragalia Lost Planet. Dragon Ball Z came out first in the test results so I would have to say that Dragonball Z: Budokai takes the trophy for best MMORPG this year. Dragonball Z is a blast to play and comes with some great sound effects and the best visual effects that we’ve seen in a while. It’s visually stunning and the gameplay is fun and addicting.
The last but not least in the top five is Final Fantasy XI: Heroes. This Android game is a remake/sequel of the popular Final Fantasy game series and comes fully with the original version of the storyline. It’s also rated as the best RPGs for mobile devices. The story follows a new prince who has been thrown into an alternate version of the world created by his father and is looking to return home and find people who have changed for the worse.
