Top Racing Games That Are Absolutely Nuts!

Racing games will always be popular. It’s one of the easiest games to design or program. Back when video games were not too common, game developers use a simple block sprite for the car or racer. As gaming consoles started to develop, so did the graphics for the many different racing games that were available for kids of different ages.

Racing Games Here and There!

Another reason why racing games are very popular is that of the age limit. There are absolutely no issues with the age of the player for racing games unless certain dialogue topics such as violence, sex, and drugs were mentioned. Games with the M or Mature rank usually have those topics, but not for racing games.

The genre hasn’t produced very good game titles recently. No other game can contend to the popularity of Need for Speed Underground 2. I still play NFSU2 over some other game title because the game is just that good. Is there a reason why racing games are no longer popular?

Bad Racing Games

While there are good racing games, there are also bad racing games.

We’ll be listing down the worst racing games in history. There are racing titles that are infamous for their sheer mediocrity when it comes to graphics and gameplay. So without further ado, here are some of the worst racing game titles in gaming history.

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing

Easily one of the worst racing games ever made for the PC, the game is especially notorious. With glitchy graphics, incomprehensible subtitles, and incredibly easy opponents, it is little wonder that Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing did not get a sequel.

Need for Speed 2015

No, we’re not talking about the entire franchise. We’re talking about that one video game released back in 2015. It was extremely horrible. I tried playing the game because it showed some premise when the trailer was launched for the game, but when the game started, I immediately felt how disappointing and boring this game was. True enough, other fans of the NFS series also gave a collective sigh of disappointment. Bad driving physics and only a small amount of cosmetic upgrades were enough to make me stop playing the game at once.

Ashpalt 8: Airborne

Yeah, this game does deserve its title. This game should go airborne along with Big Rigs and Need for Speed. Designed as a racing game for the IOS and Android, Asphalt 8: Airborne was a total disappointment because it failed to add one crucial thing that NFSU2 perfected; the ability to run around town and customize your ride. Everyone was expecting that this game would allow that kind of feature, but they were sorely disappointed. It turned out to be a runner type of game. Yes, the kind where you simply control where your vehicle goes. So boring.

Test Unlimited

A game that is not about racing, but about test driving cars. What an absolute disappointment. I was very excited at first to hear about this racing game because the game actually showed great looking cars. After I brought the game and I started playing it, it made me realize what a waste of money this game is.

So there you have it. If you also had the unfortunate timing of playing these games, then I recommend you play other awesome games instead of wasting your time over these racing games that should be forgotten in time.
