According to the research of a renowned Psychologist, playing computer games, including violent shooter games, may boost children’s learning, health, and social skills. The debate continues regarding the effects of violent media on the young minds of psychologists and other medical professionals. However, to understand the effect of videogames on children’s and adolescent’s minds, a more balanced environment and perspective are required. While some of the widely held views think that engaging too much in video games is intelligently lethargic, such as video games may strengthen a range of special and important skills like navigation, reasoning, memory, and perception. It is particularly true for shooter video games, which are often violent, the authors found.
